Statistical Review of 34 Cases of Chronic Osteromyelitis

Abstract
|
|
|
34 patients of chronic obsteornyetis were treated in the Chosun University Annex Hospital.
Clinical signs and some of the labaratory findings are summarized and evaluated. Among thm, 24(55%) cases shows increased E.S.R., leukocytosis was found only 9(20%).
Cultures of the pus revealed pathogenic microbe in 60%, among them 23 cases were staphylococcus aureus (88%).
16% of the operated cases showed recurrence within 2 years.
